Taste of Pickens Saturday November 13th

The fifth annual Taste of Pickens returns to the Appalachian campus of Chattahoochee Technical College Saturday Novermber 13.

Doors will open on Saturday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m. to the wonderful fragrance of specialties offered by the finest dining establishments in Pickens County. Attendees can choose from hundreds of wonderful signature dishes. The $10.00 ticket allows each person to choose eight items. The event runs from 11AM to 2:30 p.m. There is plenty of free parking with handicapped access available.

The list of restaurants, bakeries and caterers is growing daily, with old favorites returning and newcomers to Pickens County eager to offer samples of their signature selections.

Vendors to date include: 61 Main, Ably Asian, Annie’s, Appalachia Grill, Big Un’s BBQ, Bojangles, Carriage House, Crust, Davis BBQ, Deb’s Bakery, Dos Margaritas, Fireside Grille, Foothills IGA, Forno, Fuego, Geraldine’s Bodacious Foods, Johnny’s Pizza, Kelly’s Pub, Kroger, Last Catch, Little Caesar’s, Mary’s Bread Basket, Mexicali Joe’s, Mike DeGolier, Originals to Remember, Peking Garden, Pizza Hut, Pueblo Grill, Quizno’s, Starbucks and Woodbridge Inn.

With vendors donating their specialties and servers donating their services, all profits go to fund C.A.R.E.S. whose mission is to make food and financial assistance available to the needy. With donations at a low due to the economy and demand reaching new heights, this event has become a major funding source for the needy in the community

To avoid waiting in line, buy your tickets in advance.
