Streets of Big Canoe are for the birds

The streets that access the lake in Big Canoe are named for indigenous birds such as the Goldfinch pictured. Others are the Indigo Bunting, Cardinal Cove, Wood Duck Way. Green Heron, Canada Geese, Woodpecker Way, Canada Geese, Flycatcher Point and Swallow Point. These themed neighborhoods make navigating the mountain roads in Big Canoe a little easier for newcomers. The wonderful picture of the Goldfinch was taken by Jim Tanner of Big Canoe.
