Big Canoe Photo Contest

The judging for the second annual Great Outdoors photo contest is complete and the winners have been announced. The rules of the contest are simple: All photos had to be taken outdoors.

Over thirty beautiful photos of the outdoors—both here in Big Canoe and beyond—were submitted.

Local photographer Sara Lindkrantz, judged the photos. Sara began photographing in the 1980s and originally processed her work in a traditional wet darkroom. After retiring and moving to Big Canoe her photography in-the-digital-age became a passionate avocation.

She has received recognition in numerous local competitions and has a work on permanent exhibition at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Her primary interest is portrait photography.

Contest winners are:
First Place: “Drop in Winter,” by Doris Dressler

Second Place: “Misty Morning,” by Clark Fulton
Third Place: “Ice Storm,” by Clark Fulton
