Kurt Thomas, Dahlonega native and winner of Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Country Star” contest, will be playing at the Terraces Amphitheater on Steve Tate Highway just past the main gate of Big Canoe. The program starts at 7:30 but you may come early to tail gate or enjoy dinner catered by the Sconti Clubhouse of Big Canoe. Advance tickets can be bought for $15 at the Big Canoe Chapel “standaround” Sunday mornings or via a check in the Terraces box at the Big Canoe post office. Tickets are also available at the gate. The Terraces Amphitheater at Big Canoe-The Return-Beatles Tribute May 12, 2012

The Terraces amphitheater on Steve Tate Rd in Marble Hill will present The Return-Beatles Tribute band on May 12, 2012. The Return, which was named as the official band of the Atlanta Braves, is one of the best Beatles tribute groups in the country.

Tickets are $15 advance, and $20 at the gate, children under 13, accompanied by an adult are free. Advance tickets can be bought online at BigCanoeChapel.org via PayPal. Martha Ann Brooks to play at the Terraces amphitheater at Big Canoe

Saturday July 30 at 7:30 PM, the Terraces amphitheater at Big Canoe will present Martha Ann Brooks and her Nashville band who will entertain you with folk, blues, country, and classic rock. Martha Ann, who  has been nominated by the Atlanta Society of Entertainers for Female Vocalist of the Year,  is currently listed as the #1 folk artist in Chattanooga. Two of her songs were number one on Neil Young’s web site, one for 10 consecutive weeks. Come relax and dance under the stars in the mountains of Big Canoe near Jasper and Tate, GA.

HOLMES FAMILY TRIO comes to Twilight at the Big Canoe Chapel Terraces Saturday July 16, at 7:30

 This popular local, family trio will perform at the Big Canoe Terraces tonight.  The talented siblings, well-known entertainers in North Georgia, will feature selections from Broadway to gospel.

Many Big Canoe homeowners know Alison Holmes Adams gorgeous voice from Big Canoe Chapel events as well as Reinhardt University, the Atlantic Music Club and Cherokee Community Chorale.

Big Canoe Terraces 4th of July Celebration

The Big Canoe  Independence Day weekend blasts off Saturday July 2  at the Twilight at the Terraces summer concert series  featuring the Atlanta Concert Band.

The Band ,directed by Paul Scanling, son of Big Canoe resident Fred Scanling,  will bring 60-70 musicians to the Terraces to kick off the July 4th celbration with rousing patriotic music. Wear your red, white,and blue for what should be a fun filled evening.  Tailgating will start about 5:30pm with the option of purchasing food catered by the Big Canoe  Sconti clubhouse or bringing your own picnic dinner. Lawn chairs or stadium cushions are recommended to insure a comfortable evening.  The concert will start in the Terraces amphitheater at 7:30pm.

Von Grey to Play at Big Canoe Terraces Amphitheater

The Von Greys, four young sisters playing folksy, bluesy, and soulful music, will be playing the Terraces Amphitheater in Big Canoe at 7:30 Saturday June 11. Advance tickets for the concert are available for $15.00 by going to www.bigcanoechapel.org, click The Terraces link.  Tickets will also be available at the gate on Saturday night starting at 5:30 p.m. for $20.

 The Clubhouse at Big Canoe’s Lake Sconti will be catering this concert with an all inclusive [$8.00]  BBQ Pork Sandwich, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and Iced Tea. Individually wrapped cookies or brownies and soft drinks will also be available for purchase or you can bring a picnic dinner and tailgate. 

Calling all Parrot Heads!!!

The Terraces concert series will rock out  on Saturday June 4th with “The Live Bait” Jimmy Buffett tribute band.  Wear your tropical shirts, parrot head outfits, and join the Parrot Heads at the Terraces Big Canoe Amphitheater for a great time.  The concert starts at 7:30pm and tickets are $20.00 at the gate. You can bring a picnic and tailgate or enjoy pre concert food  catered by “Mexicali Joes” from Big Canoe.  Watch for bouncing beach balls!! Saturday night, Big Canoe welcomed 900 people to the Terraces Amphitheater to rock out with the Seven Bridges Eagles Tribute band.  Tailgating and dancing to Eagle’s hits were highlights of the evening. The next Terraces event is May 21 when Banks and Shane will perform hits from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. This is the same day as the Big Canoe Tour of Homes. Terraces Amphitheater at Big Canoe Opens 2011 Concert Season

 The 2011  Terraces summer concert  season at Big Canoe blasts off Saturday, May 7, with a performance by 7 Bridges:  The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band. [Think “Hotel California”] On May 21, the ever popular Banks and Shane will perform at the Big Canoe venue, and on June 4, The Live Bait Band will offer tributes to Jimmy Buffett and others. 

Show time at the Terraces, which is located off Steve Tate highway just past the front entrance to Big Canoe, is 7:00 p.m.   Bring your picnic dinner a la Chastain and tailgate or purchase food from local vendors who will be at the events.
