OKTOBERFEST IN BIG CANOE

Saturday October 12 is Oktoberfest in Big Canoe!!  The event which runs from 10AM to 4 PM features authentic German food and beer, a band, crafts such as pottery and jewelry and games for the kids.  Admission is free and the weather forecast gorgeous so don’t miss this day of fun in the beautiful mountains of Big Canoe.  I will be taking a break from real estate for the day to help with the festivities so come by and say “hi”.

Kurt Thomas at Terraces Amphitheater at Big Canoe

Kurt Thomas, Dahlonega native and winner of Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Country Star” contest, will be playing at the Terraces Amphitheater on Steve Tate Highway just past the main gate of Big Canoe. The program starts at 7:30 but you may come early to tail gate or enjoy dinner catered by the Sconti Clubhouse of Big Canoe. Advance tickets can be bought for $15 at the Big Canoe Chapel “standaround” Sunday mornings or via a check in the Terraces box at the Big Canoe post office. Tickets are also available at the gate. The Terraces Amphitheater at Big Canoe-The Return-Beatles Tribute May 12, 2012

The Terraces amphitheater on Steve Tate Rd in Marble Hill will present The Return-Beatles Tribute band on May 12, 2012. The Return, which was named as the official band of the Atlanta Braves, is one of the best Beatles tribute groups in the country.

Tickets are $15 advance, and $20 at the gate, children under 13, accompanied by an adult are free. Advance tickets can be bought online at BigCanoeChapel.org via PayPal. Terraces Amphitheater at Big Canoe-7 BRIDGES EAGLES TRIBUTE BAND

The 7 Bridges ~ Eagles tribute band is scheduled to play Saturday April 21 at the Terraces amphitheater at Big Canoe. The show starts at 7:30 but concert goers are encouraged to come early to tailgate, picnic or buy a barbeque plate [$10.00] provided by the Sconti Clubhouse of Big Canoe.

Bring folding chairs or stadium seats but please leave large coolers and tables at home. Food and non alcoholic beverages are permitted in the seated area but alcohol,which is fine for tailgating, is not allowed in the performnce area.

Big Canoe Weddings at the Big Canoe Chapel

The beautiful  Big Canoe non denominational  Chapel, a favorite place for weddings, will be accepting reservations for wedding dates  from Chapel members starting August 1. 4th of July Fireworks on Lake Petit in Big Canoe

The 4th of July is always time for celebration in Big Canoe with a salute to our military service people both current and past at the Terraces amphitheater on Saturday night and many other activities for homeowners and guests.The holiday ended with a fireworks display from the dam on Big Canoe’s  Lake Petit. Von Grey to Play at Big Canoe Terraces Amphitheater

The Von Greys, four young sisters playing folksy, bluesy, and soulful music, will be playing the Terraces Amphitheater in Big Canoe at 7:30 Saturday June 11. Advance tickets for the concert are available for $15.00 by going to www.bigcanoechapel.org, click The Terraces link.  Tickets will also be available at the gate on Saturday night starting at 5:30 p.m. for $20.

 The Clubhouse at Big Canoe’s Lake Sconti will be catering this concert with an all inclusive [$8.00]  BBQ Pork Sandwich, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and Iced Tea. Individually wrapped cookies or brownies and soft drinks will also be available for purchase or you can bring a picnic dinner and tailgate.
